SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS:

I am interested in understanding how individual neurons process thousands of spatiotemporally distinct inputs or, in other words, how these inputs are integrated and give origin to an “organized output”. Moreover, in a wider perspective, I am also interested in how those “organized outputs” of different neurons work together, now in a network of neurons, to give rise to such amazing phenomena such as learning, memory or volition.
