SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS:
I am very fascinated about the idea of uncovering molecular pathways of mood and anxiety disorders. I strongly believe that a better understanding of underlaying molecular machinery can lead to a great advancement in helping people with such problems. Given that 2 to 6% of all the human population is estimated to be suffering from depression alone, such research would not only help individuals but also would help us humans progress and adapt further.
