SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS:
My main research interests include learning and memory, plasticity, neuroscience of choice and sleep. Understanding how sensory stimuli are encoded in higher brain areas to give rise to these complex behaviours is a daunting but rewarding task, which I find compelling. During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to investigate the entorhinal cortex, which is crucial for integration of sensory signals and subsequent memory formation. I aim to pursue a career in academia in order to contribute to leading questions in Neuroscience. I am to approach research from the interdisciplinary viewpoint, which I deem necessary when dissecting complex behaviours into biological phenomena.
